Mehedi’s Story
Mehedi is twelve years old and has been orphaned since birth. He lives in the Habigonj district of Bangladesh. After his father passed away, his mother was thrown out of her marital home while she was pregnant. Sadly after Mehedi was born his mother passed away. Mehedi’s grandparents took care of him, however as they were elderly they could not work and had no income. Therefore they often starved. We helped Mehedi and his grandparents by building them a new home as well as providing food and medicine.‘You shall observe the Salah and give the obligatory charity (Zakat) and bow down with those who bow down.’
